"Good health & physical stamina were my goals when I retired from teaching in 2012. I was feeling tired and bored with the traditional workouts when v[c]f opened in 2014. The Lagree method sounded interesting so I decided to give it a try. On my first visit, I was immediately impressed by the trainer and the focus on injury prevention. I had never done a workout where the trainer was observing and guiding the student through for maximum benefit and safety. 

For the past 3 years of working out 3x a week, I enjoy fit & energized. The friendly staff make the workout challenging but not difficult. I also enjoy the benefits of having a strong core...no back or knee issues for me! In 2007 I had a rotator cuff surgery bc of a workout injury and I'm pleased to say that today my shoulder is stronger than ever due to the focus on upper body strength. I was confident wearing a sleeveless dress to my sons wedding. THANK YOU v[cf for helping me reach my goals in this period of my life!"

"Today I am celebrating my 46th birthday. As I was doing Barre class this morning at Village Core, I had an overwhelming feeling of gratefulness. I started at Village Core when I had just moved to Granville two years ago. The first thing I noticed is that I did not have that nervous "new gym" feeling. Everyone was so kind and I felt instantly at home. There are people of all shapes and sizes, but because the trainers are so knowledgeable and good at explaining how to correctly do the exercises, it is easy to modify any of the workouts.
 
When I started at Village Core I had lost some weight, but I wanted to lose a little more and to tone up. I have done Lagree and Barre classes at least four times a week for the past two years. I run stairs occasionally, but I don't do any other weight training. Since I started at Village Core, I have lost another twenty pounds and have gone down four sizes. I am in better shape at 46 than I was at 26. That is solely due to my workouts at Village Core. So, today, on my 46th birthday, I have a lot to be grateful for. I am grateful for how healthy I am and the friendships I have formed along my fitness journey. Those things would not have been possible without Carrie and all the wonderful trainers at Village Core."

"My body and I are incredibly grateful to VCF for bringing the Lagree Fitness Method to Granville. Since beginning almost three years ago, it has become my main form of exercise. I can honestly say I can't imagine doing anything else. Let me tell you why I love it so much...

The staff....Carrie and her team of trainers are extraordinary; they are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They push clients to always give their best effort in a supportive, fun atmosphere. I especially love that the trainers monitor each client's form to ensure each exercise is being performed correctly in order to obtain optimal results. The staff seems to work to make sure each workout is unique-each class I attend feels fresh which helps to keep things interesting. I also love that the various exercises can be differentiated based on one's fitness level; I consistently feel physically challenged. And then there's the music..it might be one of my very favorite aspects of class--it is uplifting and energizing, providing each 45 minute class with exciting momentum.

The method.... Let me start by saying that I do not consider myself an exceptionally coordinated or athletic person however, due to Lagree Fitness, I feel as though I can successfully perform at VCF classes. I love the way this method works my muscles in a low impact, but intense and challenging way. I tremble and shake during each workout. When I finish a class, my muscles feel completely fatigued while my mind feels relaxed and focused. For me, these classes help to alleviate stress...they are my "me" time amidst a busy, hectic day as a working mom. I honestly look forward to each workout.

The results...Since beginning Lagree at VCF, I am stronger, firmer, and leaner. My overall muscle tone has improved considerably, as has my posture and flexibility. I have also noticed that certain areas of my body "lifted". I'll be turning 40 in a few months, and I am happy to say that two babies and nearly twenty years later, my body resembles what is once was at the age of 20. My glutes and my core thank you VCF."
